Eighty years ago today James Willard Waning received his High School Diploma from Pleasant Hill High School. It is interesting to note that the diploma cover says Union High No. 1 which is what PHHS was called into the late 1920's.

Little PHHS had Mr. A.B. Hall, President of the University of Oregon as their speaker.
In 1977 Churchill High School had the school janitor as their lead speaker - I kid you not!
