Michigan Pumpkins!

This is the first nice fall day we have had.  We decided to go ahead and harvest our pumpkins since it got down to 28 last night.  One grew through the fence and so that was the first to be harvested.  Tom is especially proud as this it the first real success we have had as Michigan farmers (other than my potatoes).
This is the garden plot outside the fence.  It should have been filled with corn, but earlier in the summer a muskrat harvested for us.  He took the stalks and all over the course of about 3 nights.  Quinten and Mikaila were scoping out which pumpkins were theirs.
Pretty impressive Pumpkins!!!

  1. Nice pumpkin crop there guys! We were supposed to hit 28 last night so spent from 11am-4pm Sunday putting to bed all my many many pots and plants on the front porch and back patio. It did not get that cold, but now the work is done and I am stiff and sore! I hope you enjoy your pumpkins and fall weather.

  3. Great Michigan Farmers! Those are some great looking pumpkins. Now we need to have a post showing the after carving looks.
