The picture was taken at the 1936 Carter-Howles reunion at the residence of George Gardner and Hattie Ames Carter at present day 613 Greeley Street, Bear Lake, Freehold Twp., Warren County, Pa 16402.
These are five of the adult children of Joseph and Mary Ellen Howles Carter. Front - (l.to r.) Katherine (Kate) Carter Mullin, George Gardner Carter and Ellen (Nellie) Carter Upton. Back (l.to r.) Joah (Joe) Carter and James Lamont (Mott) Carter. The house still stands and is occupied by family.
