Christmas - 1931

Envelope

Card - Front

Card - Inside

"Dear Waning family

We are sending you the seasons greatings (sic) Why don't you ever drive over.  We are always home.  But if you don't feel sure a card would keep us home.  I am full of talk I think it would take a whole week to run out.  Would you use a couple of our gas lamps.  You know we have 5 and don't use any.  You would be so welcome to them.  We have never been to Jacksons since they moved.  Don't you want to drive over some day and we will go see them."

Card - Reverse

"We will have a very tame christmas every year a little more so.  If we live long enough it will get so we won't even know when it is.  We have never seen your friends from the East.  Must go and all on them.  Had a letter from Julians.  Said awful hard times there.  Their crop was not as bad as some.  Bob James on Dr. Carson's place had no crop at all.  Said they were awfully hard up.  There has been several cars of fruit and vegetables sent to Eastern Montana from Salem.  Come and see us soon.

Love from Hurzlers"
