"Dear Friend:

Have been promising to write you a nice big letter - but time goes so fast - and to fix things nice for Xmas.  Wally and the babies have the whopping cough.  It has been hard one the babies.  The fatly one has had {it) so much harder than the other.  She chokes so bad.  I will be glad when its over.  Have had help all week.  We have had quite a lot of snow and cold.  Cora is fine graduates this year.  Doll Shannon Granger died not long ago.  Best of Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.
