Jefferson Card - Inside
The Jeffersons were old "Montana friends" from White Sulphurs Springs.
Her newsy letter is filled with the latest news of mutual Montana friends, but also mentions two of the abiding 1947 themes - Newman's illness, and Billy's trip to Maine.
"Dear friends,
Got your letter card. Sorry to hear about Mr Hall. Those strokes are bad and there seems to be so little can be done for them. That nice Waining (sic) got his trip back home. Don't think I would have had the nerve to fly."
